Purchasing new woodworking tools.

I am looking into purchasing new woodworking tools for my shop (shaper, table saw, dust collectors, etc.). I need something industrial, but do not want to break the bank. Salesman suggested going with Jet or Powermatic over Delta and Grizzly. I know a little about the brands suggested, but would like more information on those tools. People have told me the suggested tools are not as good.(?)

---------------------

-I buy nothing but used industrial equipment, mostly Rockwell and Powermatic. There are others like Newman, Oliver, etc. There is an almost unlimited supply of older equipment in good condition on the market at reasonable prices. Look around.

-Since your authors profile shows 1 article authored by you and you don't give a real name I am reluctant to give you an answer other than to refer you to deja news so you can do a power search on the info you want. I would suggest you do it on the tools you mentioned and come back to the group when you have a more specific question.

-if you are looking fof industrial tools look into trade mags like cabinet maker www.cabinetmag,com or modern woodworking but you will need 3 phase power for most of these tools . look at some of the european brands such as Watkin or SCMI
