Anybody have any strong opinions (good or bad) about Grizzly tools? I'm
getting ready to furnish my shop, and so far (at least from the catalogs I
have) the Grizzly tools look as good or better than the rest. They are
certainly heavier, for what that's worth... If you don't like the Grizzly
tools, do you have any suggestions? I'm open to all ideas and would
appreciate any feedback
---------------------
-I have a Grizzly 20 inch planer, 16 inch bandsaw and 2 HP dust collector and
like them all. I can't comment on their other machines. The few problems I
had were in the area of design. Grizzly's tech support took care of them
with just a phone call. They even modified a part so it would suit my needs.
They are good to deal with. The only down side is that their machinery is not finished too well. By that
I mean rough edges on metal parts that will cut you. Take a smooth file to
them to eliminate the hazards. -I have the 15" planer, 3hp shaper, 24 " drum sander. As yet, I am not
completely sold on the sander. The planer is as good as I could ask, as is
the shaper. I was in the Memphis showroom today. I looked pretty closely at the G1022z?
table saw, and if buying today, for the money I don't think it could be
beat. If I were buying something on the order of a drum sander, I suppose at
this moment I would go with their stroke sander. Just my opinion.
