Advanced Woodworking on DIY -- Not

Just saw about the lowest to which a "Woodworking" show could sink. DIY's Woodworking show featured the assembly of a shaker rocker. The rocker arrived in a box in kit form, including all required parts, including glue and sandpaper. The entire 1/2 hour show consisted of showing how to assemble and finish this kit. I'm not really sure what lowest common denominator to which this show is attempting to appeal, those who are to flippin' stupid to read and follow step by step instructions?

---------------------

You would be surprised at the people who would have problems with a project like that. There are people who are scared to go into the Borg to buy nails. There are people who can get ASSEMBLED furniture from Nude Furniture
(or whatever the unfinished furniture store is near you) and need instructions on how to finish the things! For these people, colored Minwax is a stretch... But then there are people who think that reading the instructions are all there may be to a project, that EVERYTHING you need to know is in there.
